The sheer size of the Grand Canyon is overwhelming!
These pages provide a glimpse into the Canyon with suggestions to have a good experience and background information about the history of the Canyon.
The number of visitors to the Grand Canyon has been rising for the past few years. There were 2.2 million visitors to the park between January and June 2004- a 7.2 percent jump over the previous year, according to the National Park Service.
Since 9/11, there had been a drop in visitors- a trend seen by most national parks. That trend is shifting upward as more people are travelling again.
