White Castle Honored by Local Legislator Larry Flowers
Ohio Rep. Larry Flowers (R) made an appearance yesterday at the White Castle home office, 555 West Goodale Street to deliver a commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives to the leaders of the first fast food hamburger restaurant, in honor of their 85th anniversary.
The event was open to team members working in the home office and several key family members of the family owned and operated company were on hand to receive the proclamation and make statements.
"It is an honor to present White Castle with such an award for the invaluable impact the company has made on Ohio's economy and our communities," Rep. Flowers said. "Our state is a better place because of companies like White Castle."

Flowers is Majority Floor Leader in his 3rd term in office. A resident of Canal Winchester, Ohio, he serves on Standing Committees including the Finance and Appropriations Transportation and Justice Subcommittee, Health, Rules and Reference, and State Government.
Flowers' past accomplishments include implementation of Paramedic Services in Fairfield County and Madison Township, Franklin County; Implementation of Ohio Fire Chiefs Leadership Academy; Franklin County Ed. Service Center Governing Board (1988-2000.)
Flowers is a recipient of the Sertoma Service to Mankind Award; Legislator of the Year, Ohio Professional Fire Fighters (2002); Canal Winchester Pillar of Community; Ohio Education Service Center Association, Leadership Award; Canal Winchester Schools, Volunteer Award; Masonic Lodge, Community Builder Award; and Watchdog of the Treasury Award (2002).

Top Any Sandwich With Roasted Garlic Cheese at White Castle (R)
Beginning on May 28, 2006, Roasted Garlic Cheese will make its way back to White Castle's menu for a limited time.
Last year a Roasted Garlic Chicken Sandwich was introduced but this time around customers can top their favorite sandwich with the flavorful cheese. Cravers will have to act fast to savor this bold cheese addition since it will only be around until June 24, 2006.
"If you Crave our crispy all-white meat chicken breast you'll also notice a softer new premium bun that perfectly complements the unique taste of the Roasted Garlic Cheese. The combination of ingredients is like nothing else out there and provides a great new taste to consumers looking for something robust and distinctive," commented Jamie Richardson, Director of Marketing.
Broadcast and radio advertising will support the introduction of the Roasted Garlic Cheese as will in-store merchandising highlighting the unique flavor combination the cheese creates with the sandwich of your choice. 2006 marks a monumental anniversary for White Castle with 85 years of serving one-of-a-kind burgers to Cravers everywhere.
Since the company's founding in March of 1921, over 16 billion signature steam-grilled-on-a-bed-of-onions hamburgers have been sold.
Many events are scheduled throughout 2006 to mark the anniversary including being the official sponsor of National Hamburger Month, celebrated each May 1- 31.
