Property Description
As one of Ireland's oldest hostelries, The Old Inn Crawfordsburn has played host to many notable visitors, both famous and infamous. Peter the Great - Tsar of Russia, legendary highwayman Dick Turpin and the former US President George Bush are among the many travelers who have lodged and dined under it's thatched roof. Today the tradition of hospitality is as strong as ever. You can sink into a comfortable chair by the fire, dine in elegance in the 1614 restaurant and retire to period splendor in one of our 25 unique bedrooms. Accommodation ranges from standard to superior rooms or for that special occasion why not try our private cottage. Tucked away in the gardens of the Inn the cottage is a romantic fantasy come true where you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel without venturing outside. The Old Inn is situated in the picturesque village of Crawfordsburn, just one mile from the sea, Crawfordsburn Country Park and the North Down Coastal Path. North County Down, just 10 minutes from Belfast City Airport and 2 miles from Bangor. Whatever your leisure pursuits you will find an abundance of things to see and do in the area, golfing, scenic walks, historic sights, sailing or perhaps a shopping trip to Belfast. "Travelers at first incline where ever they see the fairest sign. And if they find the chambers neat, and like the liquor and the meat, will call again and recommend The Old Inn to every friend". Dean Jonathan Swift.
