It is named for the thousands of feet of stone fence that surrounds the property. Situated on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River where you can enjoy the sandy beach, seasonal heated outdoor pool, tennis and basketball courts, putting green, childrens play area, boating, canoeing, water gazebo, and on site restaurant. History buffs will enjoy the walking tour of noted War of 1812 sites or scuba diving among wrecks from military encounters of the 18th century. Area boat tours offer sunset views on the St. Lawrence River, trips to Singer Castle on Dark Island, and insights into the river, its wildlife, history and development. Our sandy beach is perfect for wading in the clean, cool waters of the St. Lawrence or relaxing in the sun listening to the gentle waves slapping the shoreline. | From Syracuse and Airport: Take Rt. 81 North to exit 50 North. You will then be on Rt. 12 heading North. Drive 30 miles to where Rt. 12 merges with Rt. 37 Morristown. Drive 11 miles and Stone Fence Resort will be on your left. From Ottawa Canada Airport: Take Hunt club road west to 416 south. You will be on 416 for about 50 miles to Bridge to U.S.A. After clearing customs take exit road to T State Highway 37 West, right turn, continue approx 5 miles, 5 stop lights, Stone Fence Resort will be on your right. |

| Our area offers a variety of activities for everyone like golfing, fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, water skiing, and scuba diving. While scuba diving in the area keep your eyes open for ferry tokens, cannonballs, anchors, undiscovered shipwrecks and the many different species of freshwater fish. Enjoy scenic vistas, beautiful sunsets on one of the St. Lawrence River boat tours. Fronting the shores of the St. Lawrence River along the US Canadian border is the Robert C. McEwen Customs House, the oldest federally owned building in the United States. The Hammond Museum helps you step back in time viewing replicas of buildings crafted in the early 1900s, Victorian living room with a pump organ, historic uniforms, and an exhibit of old medical instruments. Just a short drive will take you to the Thousands Islands Zoo for fun and enjoyment can be found observing all of the animals. |
