Located at the beach in the famous Sandy Beach Resorts master planned community of Puerto Penasco, Rocky Point, you find the major hotels, resorts, condos and house rentals.
Rocky Point hotels, resorts and rental homes are still rising from the sand dunes. In anticipation of new tourists from the soon to be expanded airport and new highway from California, builders have been speculating on an explosion of tourism, despite the slowdown in the U.S. economy.
Annual events like Spring Break and November's Rocky Point Bike Rally still fill hotel rooms up to months before the events. The earlier room reservations are booked, the better the rate and accomodations. Most hotels require that guests be at least 25 years of age to check-in.
With such a glut of rooms, though, and a soft U.S and Mexican economy, careful planners can probably score a great discount on a room or rental. Last minute bookings may have some great deals, but it is riskier when rooms fills up fast, as they do during spring break. Currently, the only car rental agency in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) is Alamo Rent A Car. Car rentals originating in the United States (USA) can be driven throughout the USA and Canada. But, vehicles cannot be driven into Mexico. Cars can be rented in Mexico. Vehicles rented in Mexico cannot be driven outside the Republic of Mexico. The besr option is to fly into Rocky Point and rent a car. The Alamo Car Rental agency is located near the Rocky Point International AIrport.
