Movie and Video Players

Most computers already have the software needed to play and watch these movies online through a dial up connection (64kb) or broadband cable connection (256kb).

Many of these movies can also be downloaded and played at a later time using a variety of movie players on your PC or mobile.

If you have a PC with Windows Operating System or an Apple Macintosh computer, it should have the appropriate movie player already installed.

If the correct movie player software is installed, the movie will start playing within a minute or two. If not, download a free or trial version of these movie players:

Flash To see flash video on this site, your browser needs to have javascript enabled and have the Flash browser plugin, version 7+, from Adobe USA Store ' target="_blank">Adobe. Most computers have the plugin already installed and the movie should start playing within a few moments.

Quicktime, a free movie player from Apple Computers, must be installed for most movies to play. More information on Quicktime download and installation.

Real Player from Real Networks (www.real.com) may work with some of the movies.

Windows Media Player (for PC and Mac) can be used to watch some films, but not all movies support WMP format. Download a copy for PC and Apple.

Movie Formats:

At this time, we most movies are in streaming .mpg (MPEG) format. Some movie files are in .avi, .mov and .wav formats. We recently added the flash option for newly posted movies.

Some mobile devices require a special format to play. Check your portable device's manufacture specifications to see the available formats.

We support two bitrates: 32Kbps-192Kbps for modem and ISDN users plus 256Kbps-450Kbps for DSL and cable-modem users. To stream MPEG4 files you will need to use QuickTime.
