Tim McGraw Inducted
to 'Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame'

UNCASVILLE, Conn., Dec. 3, 2004 /PRNewswire/ -- Mohegan Sun announced today that Tim McGraw has become the first inductee to the "Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame." In a special induction ceremony held outside the entrance to the Mohegan Sun Arena, Tim McGraw said, "The fans have been fantastic. They treat you like a king around here. We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing you again soon."

Over the past eight years, Mohegan Sun has grown to become the Northeast's premier entertainment destination, and to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the company's success, Mohegan Sun developed the "Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame." McGraw opened the Arena to a sold out audience on November 9, 2001, and has since sold out six additional performances at Mohegan Sun, including those on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 3-5, 2004.

"When Tim McGraw opened our Arena in 2001 to a sellout audience of 9,500 screaming fans, we realized just how special he is to the Northeast," said Paul Munick, Senior Vice President of Sports & Entertainment for Mohegan Sun. "We listened to those fans that night, and since then, Tim McGraw has returned not only once, but six times to sellout audiences of more than 65,000 adoring fans. Today, we honor Tim McGraw for his contributions to Mohegan Sun."

All individuals inducted into the "Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame" will have their name engraved in a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to the Mohegan Sun Arena. They will also receive a crystal replica to commemorate the occasion during an induction ceremony held at Mohegan Sun.

Mohegan Sun boasts three entertainment venues: Mohegan Sun Arena, Cabaret Theatre and Wolf Den. Since it first opened in 1996, the legendary gaming and entertainment destination has hosted the best of every generation and genre - from Tony Bennett and Chubby Checker to Janet Jackson and the Boston Pops Orchestra. Major sporting events, including championship boxing, college and professional basketball, tennis, billiards, bull riding and bowling, have also found a home at Mohegan Sun. In 2003, Mohegan Sun made headlines as the first non-NBA owner of a WNBA team with the acquisition of the Connecticut Sun -- the 2004 Eastern Conference Champions.

Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, is one of the largest, most distinctive and spectacular entertainment, gaming, shopping and meeting destinations in the United States. Situated on 240 acres along the Thames River in scenic southeastern Connecticut, Mohegan Sun is within easy access of New York, Boston, Hartford, Providence and located 15 minutes from the museums, antique shops and waterfront of Mystic Places.

What began with the Casino of the Earth in 1996 has evolved into a legendary destination that now includes: the Casino of the Sky and over 300,000 square feet of total gaming space; The Shops at Mohegan Sun, featuring more than 40 retail shops and dining venues ranging from food court-style to gourmet; the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena for world-class sporting events and concerts, and an intimate Cabaret; and a 34-story luxury hotel, featuring 1,200 guestrooms and suites, premier meeting and convention space and a world-class spa.
