Living in Harmony with the Sun
Saturday, May 31, 2014 - 5:00pm - 9:00pm
The Skin Cancer Institute is proud to present the ninth annual Living in Harmony with the Sun event on May 31, 2014 from 5-9 PM in partnership with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
The goal of Living in Harmony with the Sun is to help educate residents and visitors about the dangers of sun exposure, and teach everyone how to enjoy Arizona’s approximately 350 days of sunshine each year without accumulating skin damage.
During each year’s Living in Harmony with the Sun event, local dermatologists conduct skin cancer screenings, in addition to activities dedicated to prevention and detection for adults, children who attend the event will have the opportunity to make UV bracelets, play “the sun fun” facts game, and take pictures in the photo booth with sun safe gear and fun props. All of this years events are free with Desert Museum admission.
