EVERSTART SERIES WESTERN DIVISION CONTINUES ON ROOSEVELT LAKE

Date:
Thursday, February 21, 2013 - 10:00am - Saturday, February 23, 2013 - 8:00pm

Cold, stained water could challenge anglers

ROOSEVELT, Ariz.- The EverStart Series is headed to Roosevelt Lake Feb. 21-23 when as many as 300 pros and co-anglers take to the water for the second of four stops in the Western Division.

“It looks like it’s going to be a real tough tournament,” said Evinrude pro Brett Hite of Phoenix, Ariz. “Overall the lake is down about 30 to 40 feet from the last time we had a tournament there. Recently the lake has come up around 7 feet and it’s still on the rise. This combined with the run-off from the snow pack in the mountains nearby has the lake stained and cold.

"No" Movie Review

Date:
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 - 1:00am - Monday, April 1, 2013 - 11:00pm

By Miv Evans

This drama documents the events surrounding the downfall of President Pinochet, dictator of Chile from 1973 to 1988. As a drama, it fails, but the events the filmmakers depict are so powerful that the images create a story all of their own. Truths are encompassed by themes of stolen civil liberties and, abomination by abomination, this tragic era of Chile’s history is faithfully drawn.
