There are more military dying in the United States then in combat as suicide has become such a brutal problem for our government. There is an average of five active duty troops that attempt suicide every day. Two out of three marriages are failing and veteran’s homelessness is on the rise. One-third of the nations homeless are veterans and less than 40% ever seek help.

Ted Danson Cheers on WNPA's 75th Anniversary Celebration

A conservationist and author, as well as an actor, Danson has direct connections to WNPA and its proud partnership with the National Park Service. His father, Dr. Edward "Ned" Danson, was renowned for his contributions to archaeology, cultural anthropology and the preservation of the west's natural and cultural environment. He considered Arizona his adopted state and raised his family in both Tucson and Flagstaff.

The Civic Orchestra of Tucson Presents an All-American Concert

Featured works are Symphony No. 2 by Charles Ives and the world premiere of "The Light of Tucson" by Tucson composer Alisha Nichols, dedicated to the healing power of music and Gabrielle Giffords. Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance will draw some of the region's finest artisans alongside local performers to one of the most beautiful shopping centers in Southern Arizona

Her work conveys a sense of timelessness - the feel of an ancient piece rediscovered yet still possessing a contemporary statement. Susan M. Harvey's art has been sought out for the prominent collections of various celebrities, international embassies and private collectors around the world.
