The Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus will honor the American Parkinson Disease Association at the Musicale Regale. The 17th annual gala will take place Saturday, November 12, 2011 beginning at 5:30pm at the University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center Grand Ballroom.

1ST ANNUAL RALLY FOR LITERACY LAUNCHES NEW LITERACY ORGANIZATION

Navajo Weavers Marketplace at the Heard Museum
More than 50 Navajo weavers are expected to gather to show and sell their textiles on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Gathering of Weavers: Navajo Weavers Marketplace at the Heard Museum.
The event takes place in the Heard Museum’s Central Courtyard from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Book signings, live music, lectures and demonstrations are all part of this second annual event.

The Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus is registering boys for its 2011-2012 season.
Boys from ages 8 to 12 are being selected for openings in the Chorus.
The Fall Chorus open enrollment is for boys in the third through sixth grades who have an interest in music. No prior musical experience is required. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
Over the years, the young men who have participated in the Chorus have been a part of a tradition of excellence that has garnered world acclaim for both the Chorus and the city of Tucson. These young ambassadors begin the Chorus with no specific skills. They are simply ordinary boys who love to sing who achieve excellence through participation in the program.

Johanan ben Zakai (Hebrew: יוחנן בן זכאי c. 30 - 90 CE), also known as Johanan B. Zakkai was one of the tannaim, an important Jewish sage in the era of the Second Temple, and a primary contributor to the core text of Rabbinical Judaism, the Mishnah. We have all seen at least one vampire movie in our lives with some being great and others being completely ridiculous. For I am not much of a vampire movie person, but I will tell you that no vampire movie I have seen has been more ridiculous or more empty than the recent remake of the 1985 horror movie "Fright Night."

Lovin’ Life After 50 recently announced that its first Health & Wellness Expo and Dance, sponsored by Banner MediSun Health Plan, is looking like it will be a smashing success. With more than 50 exhibitors committed to the event, it could become one of the Valley’s largest health and wellness events.

Southern Arizona Rocketry Association (SARA) announces its Night Rocket Launch at the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout.
The Southern Arizona Rocketry Association (SARA) is excited to announce that it will hold its annual October Night Launch in conjunction with the 2011 Tucson Aerobatic Shootout on Saturday, October 8th, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the TIMPA (Tucson International Modelplex Park Association) facility.
Spectators are always welcome at no charge. Rocket rentals are available for $2 per launch and include a motor!
SARA will have a booth with information and static rocket displays setup during the day to provide SARA club members ample opportunity to interact with the R/C flyers and spectators outside of the night launch activities.
