One of the oldest ski areas in the country celebrates its 60th anniversary
in February 1998. 14 miles north of Flagstaff. An average if 260 inches
of snow a year. The base elvevation is 9,300 feet with the top of the mountain
chairlift reaching 11,500 feet. Snowboarding. Alpine and Nordic skiing.
Summer chair lift rides and mountain biking. Open from mid-December through
mid-April.
Open through the end of March or early April, depending on snow accumulations.
Mt. Lemmon receives from 165 to 200 inches of snow a year, 9,157 feet atop
the Catalina Mountains. A 45 minutes drive north of Tucson. Enjoy a tour
up Mt. Lemmon with EMOL publisher.

Arizona's largest ski resort with 800 acres of skiing and snowboarding
on three interconnected mountains. Base elevation is 9,200 feet extending
up to 11,000 feet. Receives 250 to 350 inches of snow a year. Open from
the first week of December through the first weekend of April. Daytime skiing
from 9am-4pm. Nightimte skiing offered from Jan.2 through Feb. 21 from 4:30-9pm.
Owned and operated by the White Mountain Apache Tribe. Winter: downhill
and x-country skiing, snowboarding and snow mobiling. Summer: fishing, hiking,
camping, biking, boating and special events with chair lift, rides.
