Feb. 12-15: Arts and Crafts Show at La Pilita Museum Features Local Artists An inaugural arts and crafts show at the La Pilita Museum February 12-15 will feature established and respected local artists who were inspired by the world-famous Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. “The time is right to have a showcase for local artists who are inspired by and work with materials found at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Shows,” said Lisa Marie Morrison. “Our intent is to highlight the quality, diversity and abundance of art available in Tucson, and couldn’t imagine a more appropriate venue to do so than at the historic La Pilita Museum.” Admission to the show is free and it is open for both retail and wholesale sales to the general public. It will take place in the beautiful, intimate outdoor courtyard setting at the historic La Pilita Museum, at 420 S. Main St., between Cushing St. and Simpson St., one block south of the Tucson Community Center. The La Pilita Museum is dedicated to the preservation of early Tucson history. Ten percent of the proceeds from sales at the show will help the La Pilita Museum continue and expand their mission of neighborhood and community outreach and education.
