CBS Daytime TV Goes Online- Watch Streaming Videos

CBS Daytime television programming is available online through YouTube.

CBS Interactive will stream full episodes of the popular dramas such as "The Young and the Restless," "As the World Turns" and "Guiding Light" sports, news, music and other entertainment. Watch Streaming Videos from YoutTube.

On the CBS.com website, the episodes are streaming every day at 6:00 PM ET/3:00 PM PT, immediately following the CBS Television Network’s West Coast daytime schedule, and will remain available for one week. Gerber has signed on as a major sponsor for the online streaming of the programs.

"Making our daytime programming available online benefits our audience, the Network and our sponsors," said Barbara Bloom, Senior VP of CBS Daytime Televisions Programs.  "It establishes more opportunities for our rabid fans to watch their favorite shows; creates a new platform to recruit potential new viewers to our daytime programming and it offers our advertisers another means to reach a valuable demographic audience.”

The streaming of full-length daytime TV episodes on CBS.com expands the site’s roster of popular programming which already includes CBS prime time series and original web content.  It also builds on the existing daytime content at CBS.com, which has always been one of the most popular areas on the site.
 
The creation of the CBS Audience Network was announced in April through content deals with a host of online distributors including AOL, Microsoft, CNET Networks, Comcast, Joost, Bebo, Brightcove, Netvibes, Sling Media and Veoh. All clips and full-length programs are advertiser supported and free to the consumer. In May, CBS announced phase II of the Audience Network which included partnering with leading community-building websites and social application providers to allow users to incorporate CBS-provided clips to their blogs, wikis, widgets and community pages.  These new partners included Automattic, Clearspring, DAVE Networks, Goowy Media, meebo, MeeVee, Musestorm, Ning, RockYou!, Slide, VideoEgg, Voxant and vSocial.
 
AS THE WORLD TURNS, the recipient of 16 Daytime Emmy Award nominations in 2007, is a Procter & Gamble Production and tapes in Brooklyn, New York.  The show can be seen weekdays on the CBS Television Network (check local listings).
 
GUIDING LIGHT is broadcast weekdays (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network and is a Procter & Gamble Production.  This year, GUIDING LIGHT won the 2007 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, tying with The Young and the Restless.
 
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has been the Number One rated drama for more than 18 years and is in its 35th season.  This year, the series won the 2007 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, tying with Guiding Light.  The show is broadcast weekdays (12:30-1:30 PM; 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and is produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
