The Petrified Forest
A Photo Tour With EMOL Publisher Bob Zucker

It was a grey, overcast day when I visited this strange, vast wasteland. The drive up the road provided a multitude of places to stop and take excellent photographs. If you plan a trip to Arizona, and do visit the Grand Canyon, a drive to the Petrified Forest will not be a mistake.

The eeriness of the barren landscape looks like the facade of the moon.

A lone black bird (crow?) sits atop of a petrified tree stump surrounded by
lime deposits and barren land which once was a thriving forest.
