Aloha Airlines Celebrates 60 Years of Service
Aloha Airlines will be giving away as many as 10,000 inter-island round-trips on Wednesday, July 26, to mark its 60th anniversary of service to Hawaii.
"The men and women of Aloha Airlines are grateful to the people of Hawaii and visitors from around the world for enabling us to serve them over these 60 years," said David A. Banmiller, Aloha's president and chief executive officer. "In July 1946, Aloha began service as Trans-Pacific Airlines, a locally owned and operated charter carrier. Today, Aloha still enjoys the solid backing of an investor group that includes local owners striving to continue our tradition of providing exceptional service in the spirit of our name."
To thank customers for their support, the Honolulu-based carrier will give every paying passenger who flies on Aloha Airlines on July 26, 2006, a certificate that can be redeemed for a free inter-island round-trip on their birthday in 2007. Rules for Aloha's Our Birthday is Your Birthday Giveaway are posted on AlohaAirlines.com.
