MGM Studios and the Farrelly brothers are in the process of producing an updated version of the favorite slapstick comedy team.
Production begins in early fall for the Three Stooges movie. It is planned for a release date sometime in 2010
The studio has landed Sean Penn to play the character of Larry. Negotiations are undergoing with Jim Carrey for the part of Curly. Carrey will add 40 pounds in weight to equal the physical dimensions of Jerome "Curly" Howard. Benecico De Toro is deciding whether to play Moe.
