Country music star Tracy Byrd will perform in the UK, Switzerland and Germany. Byrd has never performed overseas. On Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 , Byrd and his entourage will depart the USA for a 10-day trip to Europe.

“I’ve always heard that fans over there are serious about their country music. So I’m looking forward to playing my hits for them, but I also can’t wait to pull out some hard-core classics and see for myself if what I’ve heard is true!” exclaimed Byrd.

A traditionalist at heart, Byrd and his band, “The Only Way to Fly,” will perform their brand of honky-tonk in the following countries and venues:

March 7 Minehead, UK Centre Stage

March 11 & 12 Zurich, Switzerland Albisguetli

March 14 Untermeitingen, Germany Four Corners

Byrd has been on the road and on the charts for 15 years, due largely to a remarkably loyal fan base. And while he is overseas, he hopes to make many more fans. “I plan to open the shows with a lot of my hit songs and then sing songs by my heroes Haggard, Jones and Strait. I’m going to give them all I have and hope I get invited back!”

A family man, Byrd will be taking his own flock with him on the trip as his children will be on spring break.
