This Hebrew edition, published with diagrams and in its original Hebrew (over 400 pages), is now available in several versions, including Sefer Raziel Hebrew Books and Sodei Razya HaShalem Books. (see listings to right).

The Sefer HaShem section, which is published here for the first time ever, is in this edition. However, if your interest are the other sections of Sodei Razaya then we recommend the other edition, Sodei Razya HaShalem.
Rabbi Elazar provides a study of creation stemming from the power of the Hebrew alphabet. He cites and quotes Merkavah and Heichalot literature. He then describes the realm and characteristics of angels, the Divine Throne, the Chariot, and the Divine Voice.
The rest of the work focuses on God's names, the fate of the soul after death, the meaning of dreams, and a large practical guide for the creation of a golem.

Bob's Note: The first book by Steve Savedow is both informative, yet controversial. Some people do not agree with his translations and interpretations. The best way to understand the true meaning of the "Sepher Raziel" is to translate the Hebrew yourself word by word. Use Savedow's version to compare your own translations. The second book is harder to read the Hebrew. The third listed book is only a story from a series. Some people looking for Changlings books might come across this page.

This book is available from Abebooks.com by Avraham Yaakov Finkel. It has a short section on the Book of Raziel. The rest of the 414 pages covers commentaries and background of the famous Kabbalistic rabbis over the centuries.
