Aloha Airlines
Aloha Is America's No. 1 On-Time Carrier Again
For the second month in a row, Aloha
Airlines is the nation's Number One airline for on-time performance.
Aloha also tops the list for fewest complaints.
With 93.7 percent of all Aloha flights
arriving on time in December 2006, Aloha took top honors among 20 U.S.
air carriers that provide monthly data to the U.S. Department of
Transportation. Aloha was also Number One in fewest complaints, and was
in fact the only airline with zero complaints for the reporting period.
"Competing against the nation's best
carriers and coming out best in on- time arrival and consumer
satisfaction for two months straight is a tribute to the can-do spirit
of the men and women of Aloha Airlines," said David A. Banmiller,
Aloha's president and chief executive officer. "Our team is striving to
provide the best possible service to all of our customers every day, in
the spirit of hospitality that gives us our name."
The DOT's latest monthly Air Travel
Consumer Report, issued this week, covers the month of December 2006.
Aloha has been reporting its performance statistics to the U.S.
government voluntarily since April 2006. Because the Hawaii-based
carrier did not report for the entire year, Aloha's performance
statistics were not included in the Air Travel Consumer Report
comparison for the full year 2006.
Now in its 61st year of service to Hawaii,
Aloha serves the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of
Hawaii with comfortable, full-size Boeing jets and convenient flights
throughout the day. Aloha also offers transpacific service between the
Islands and Oakland, Sacramento, Orange County, San Diego, Las Vegas and
Reno.
Hawaii's Favorite Airline, Aloha was voted
Best Inter-island Airline by the readers of Hawaii's largest daily
newspaper. Aloha's transpacific service has consistently received high
ratings in readers' polls by Conde Nast Traveler, Travel+Leisure, and
Zagat Survey. Aloha Airlines is also the leader in air cargo and
aviation contract services in the State of Hawaii.

Aloha Airlines is named America's No. 1 On-Time Carrier
Reclaiming a past honor, Aloha Airlines is
again the nation's No. 1 airline for on-time performance. Rounding out a
Triple Crown sweep of No. 1 airline rankings, Aloha also finished first
in the nation for fewest complaints and fewest misplaced bags.
With 93.2 percent of all Aloha flights
arriving on time in November 2006, Aloha took top honors among 20 major
U.S. air carriers that provide data to the U.S. Department of
Transportation. Aloha topped the list for fewest complaints with zero
complaints and had the fewest misplaced baggage reports for the
reporting period.
"The credit for this recognition as the
nation's best airline goes to the 3,500 men and women of Aloha Airlines
for staying focused and coming out on top for on-time arrival, baggage
delivery and overall customer satisfaction," said David A. Banmiller,
Aloha's president and chief executive officer.
The DOT's latest monthly Air Travel
Consumer Report, issued this week, covers the month of November 2006.
The 10 largest airlines in the country are required to file monthly
reports with the federal government while Aloha and other airlines
report their performance statistics on a voluntary basis.
In the year 2000, Honolulu-based Aloha was
frequently No. 1 for on-time performance. Aloha stopped reporting in
2001 and resumed the practice with its report for the month of April
2006. Prior to this report, Aloha had been No. 2, a shade behind
Hawaiian Airlines, which has laid claim to the top spot for three years.
"This is a sweet victory for Aloha because
Hawaiian Airlines set such a high bar and kept it high for so long,"
said Aloha's Banmiller. "We had to work extremely hard to become
America's best on-time airline in the month of November."
Aloha recently marked its 60th
anniversary, recalling the carrier's first revenue flight in 1946
between Honolulu and Hilo via Kahului. Today, Aloha serves the islands
of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii with comfortable,
full-size Boeing jets and convenient flights throughout the day,
including hourly departures on the hour between Oahu and Maui, and Oahu
and Kauai. Aloha also offers transpacific service between the Islands
and Oakland, Sacramento, Orange County, San Diego, Las Vegas and Reno.
