D-BACKS ANNOUNCE 36-GAME 2009 SPRING TRAINING SCHEDULE

D-backs Will Also Face Mexican WBC Team

(PHOENIX) — The Arizona Diamondbacks kicks-off their 2009 Spring Training schedule when they travel across town to play the division rival Colorado Rockies for a 1:05 p.m. contest at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson on Feb. 25 followed by the team’s home opener at Tucson Electric Park two days later against the Chicago White Sox at 1:05 p.m. on Feb. 27. The games are part of a 36-game Cactus League schedule.
 
The D-backs’ 12th Spring Training season features 19 home games at Tucson Electric Park, two additional “away” games in Tucson and 15 games in the Phoenix-metro area, including two exhibition games to conclude the Cactus League schedule at Chase Field on April 3 and 4 against the White Sox. Arizona will face each Cactus League team at least once at Tucson Electric Park, including the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Indians, who are both new to the Cactus League in 2009.
 
The D-backs will also play exhibition games against Mexico’s World Baseball Classic team on March 4 and 6 at Tucson Electric Park prior to the start of the international baseball tournament that begins on March 8 in Mexico City.
 
Ticket prices for non-premier games at Tucson Electric Park are: Field Level Infield and Covered Mezzanine $16; Field Level Grandstand $13; Lower Bleachers $9; Upper Bleachers $6; Lawn seats $6. Tickets for premier games are: Field Level Infield $19; Covered Mezzanine $16; Field Level Grandstand $16; Lower Bleachers $9; Upper Bleachers $7; Lawn seats $5.
 
The D-backs are also offering an all-inclusive ticket option for groups again in 2009. Groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets for $25 each to the Party Deck located on the right field concourse. The Party Deck includes all-you-can-eat ballpark food while mingling with friends under a covered patio. Beer, wine and cocktails are available for purchase from a private bar.
 
Fans can purchase tickets for all 2009 spring training home games in person at Tucson Electric Park beginning at 9 a.m. (MST) on Jan. 24. Tickets can also be purchased at dbacks.com or by calling the D-backs ticket office at 866.672.1343 beginning at 11 a.m. (MST) on Jan. 24. Fans wishing to purchase season tickets to all D-backs spring training games at Tucson Electric Park can call 520.434.1367 prior to the on-sale date. Fans interested in group pricing, including the Party Deck, can call a sales representative at 520.434.1320 prior to the on-sale date.
 
Tickets for the exhibition games at Chase Field, which benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation’s “Diamonds Back” field building program, will go on sale with the remainder of the team’s 81 regular-season home games on March 7.
