The Rocky Point Bike Rally supports local Mexican charities

The Rocky Point Motorcycle Rally, also called el "Gran Fiesta de Motocicletas," ("The Grand Party of Motorcycles"), is an annual charitable event held in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Soñora, Mexico.

So far, registration and contributons have raised nearly $100,000 in donations for Puerto Peñasco and Sonoyta, Sonora organizations. Fees paid at the Welcome Tent (at the entrance of Rocky Point) make up the bulk of funds donated to the local charities.

The Rocky Point Rally was founded in 2001 and helped raise money for the local Puerto Peñasco Red Cross. Last year, donations were made to eight organizations: Red Cross (Crus Rojas), Fire Department (Bomberos Voluntarios), DIF in Rocky Point and Sonora, M.A.C. "La Montaña" Children's Home, the Casa Hogar Elderly Home and the George Papaicolau Cancer Society. The DIF is a public office that coordinates and supports all of the social assistance for local residents.
