20005 WORLD TOUR

Multi-platinum recording artist Yanni has just announced 27 additional concert dates on his upcoming Yanni Live 2004-05 World Tour.

The Yanni Live 2004-05 World tour will play in 52 cities across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Yanni will be performing with some of the world’s most extraordinary musicians. The spectacular new show will feature music from his last three albums on Virgin Records, as well as his much loved classics, that pulse with the rhythms and cultures from around the globe. Concerts West/AEG LIVE nationally promotes the Yanni Live Tour, in association with Danny O’Donovan.

Tickets for these concerts will be available through Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone lines, at all Ticketmaster retail ticket centers, via ticketmaster.com, and the venue Box Offices, unless noted otherwise. On-sale information for other concert dates will be announced shortly.

Accompanied by his multi-talented orchestra of world-class musicians from 15 different countries, Yanni’s live tours are an experience that transcends race and religion; effectively uniting people of all ages and backgrounds.

In March, 2003, Yanni embarked on his much celebrated Ethnicity World Tour, performing in more than 85 cities throughout North America; selling in excess of 650,000 tickets; becoming one of the top grossing tours of the 2003 touring year.

His music has earned him accolades around the world including more than 35 platinum and gold album awards and has been featured at numerous Summer and Winter Olympic Games for the past two decades.

In addition, Yanni’s first TV special in seven years was recorded November 6 th from the opening concert of his Yanni Live tour in Las Vegas. It was his first TV special filmed in America.

His last three television specials were recorded in spectacular overseas locations at the Acropolis in Greece, the Taj Mahal in India, The Forbidden City in China and at London's legendary Royal Albert Hall. The show was a 16-camera production shot on High Definition and included a special Sky Cam, normally exclusive to ABC's Monday Night Football.

Yanni’s eclectic music has touched millions of listeners across the world. He has performed in more than twenty countries and was the first major Western artist to perform and record at the Forbidden City in China and the Taj Mahal in India.

His performance at the Taj Mahal resulted in the multi-platinum album, Tribute, which ultimately led to three million dollars in donations to a Taj preservation fund. Known for his tireless fundraising efforts, Yanni is one of the top fundraising artists for Public Television.

PBS is currently airing a new Yanni television special, A Decade of Excellence, which is a compilation of previous live concert specials including segments from Live at the Acropolis, Tribute and Live at Royal Albert Hall, London.
