His 2016 tour’s greatest hits set list will undoubtedly include such musically diverse tunes as “Sirius,” “Eye In the Sky,” “Games People Play,” “Don‘t Answer Me,” “Time,” “I Robot,” “I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You” and “Psychobabble.” As a producer, Parsons worked with The Beatles’ albums Abbey Road and Let It Be, engineered Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, and produced a string of multi-platinum hits for The Hollies, Pilot, Ambrosia, Al Stewart and other artists. Over the past couple of years, he’s worked on ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro’s album Grand Ukulele and on Porcupine Tree leader Steven Wilson’s solo release, The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories). This November, Parsons’ Master Class Training Sessions “Get Back” to London’s Abbey Road. Parsons’ Master Class Training Sessions (MCTS) are held in recording studios around the world and allow attendees hands-on interactive instruction from Parsons on the 'art and science' of sound recording. If his MCTS’s aren’t at a city (or country) near you, he has an instructional video: Alan Parsons’ Art & Science Of Sound Recording, a ten-hour series available in a three-DVD boxed set and narrated by actor and musician Billy Bob Thornton. Earlier this year, Parsons received the 2015 Sound:check Lifetime Achievement Award for his professional work, remarkable creativity and immeasurable contribution to the entertainment industry.
