Mystery & Magic Dinner Theater Playhouse PerformersBENNY JAMES: Benny has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years. From circus to stage, street performing to television. He's done song and dance as Kenickie in the stage production of "Grease" and brought cunning and menace to the old west as Bob Dalton in the TV show "Gunslingers" and in several appearances on the Netflix series Longmire. He has appeared on the big screen in Steven Spielberg's "Cowboys and Aliens" and in "Independence Day Resurgence," and the Hulu TV Series "Tagged," At Meow Wolf Studios he was the resident magician, thrilling crowds weekly in Santa Fe, NM. He starred at the Incredible Circus (Managed Arts Theater) where he performed Magic and juggling. When not working as a magician/actor, Benny spends his days teaching ballroom dance ar Fred Astaire Studios. ROSS HORWITZ: Ross is a professional magician and actor and has starred in productions from the Las Vegas Strip to the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. He has taught magic at the Magic Castle and locally at Pima Cornrnunity College. He is a favorite performer at the major resorts and casinos in Tucson. He has performed the part of Steve for a number of years. Ross received his degree from Northwestern University where he originally learned his performance skills. He was named the Arizona Stage Magician of the year for 2016-2017 by the Society of American Magicians, a group formerly headed by Harry Houdini. JULIA KELLER: Julia has an incredibly diverse performance background. From frequently appearing as a burlesque dancer under the stage name Holly Toledo, to performances with the Arizona Opera Company in Verde's Rigoletto and Mozart's The Magic Flute. In Arizona she has graced the main stages of the Tucson Music Hall, the ATC's Temple of Music & Art, the Herberger Theatre in Phoenix among others. Last month you might have seen her dance burlesque on the Club Congress Stage commemorating their 25th Annual 2019 Dillinger Days Celebration. SELA GARClA: Sela is a Theater Arts major ar the University of Arizona. She has been involved in theater for years both as an actress and in technical behind the scenes work as well. Her favorite roles have included roles in "Annie," "Our Town" and "You Can't Take it with You". Her favorite directorial work was on "Snow White." She is an honored member of the National Thespian Society, a finalist in the Shakespeare Competition and was named Actor of the Year at the Playhouse Theatre Company. In0 addition to acting and directing, she is a talented singer as well. Musical Accompanist Mr. Brice Kimble is both a teacher and student of Piano. He is currently completing his degree in Piano Performance at the University of Arizona, and is an experienced accompanist for instrumentalists and vocalists alike. He won top prize in the University's Michael Moore Piano Competition; the audience prize in the school-wide Lois Trester Competition for Pianists. Brice is also an accomplished jazz pianist, being recognized as an Outstanding Soloist by the Arizona Music Educator's Association. Bringing Arizona Quality Award Wining Entertainment for over 25 yearsAuthor: Patricia Harris Srnith is a Hollywood comedy writer and has authored several interactive stage plays. Having written material for many professional comedians, her jokes have been heard on "The Tonight Show" and in comedy clubs across the country. Patty has also performed as a stand-up comedian in Los Angeles at The Comedy Store and The Improv. She has been signed on as a regular comedy staff/ cast member on NBC's The Tonight Show, was a regular on the Showtime series Weeds and has also appeared on Grey's Anantomy}. Co-Producers: Kim & Glenn Foster: The Fosters (Kim & Glenn Foster) have produced some of the world's biggest musicals, including They're Playing Our Song, the Australian production of Le Cage Aux Folles and the London production of Le Cage Aux Folles at the London Palladium. The London production starred George Hearn, the original star of the Broadway production that won seven Tony awards. Both the Australian and London productions were directed by Arthur Laurents, the original Broadway director. They also produced the Australian production of Me and My Girl, the record breaking British musical, This production was directed by Mike Ockrent, the original London director and Tony award winner for his direction of the Broadway production. The Fosters recently produced the 60's rnusical Beehive at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City, the musical Sukulu at Donald Trurnp's Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Their last mystery dinner show, Murder at Rutherford House, became the longest running show of any description in Phoenix history. Director: Tom Blackwood is a native Phoenician and has been a regular to Phoenix stages as both an actor and director for many years. Tom has worked with the Courtyard Players in many Shakespearean roles (including Banquo, Jaques and Petruchio) and is known in valley schools for his classroorn visits as the Bard hirnself Tom's recent shows incude Hamet and Much Ado About Nothing (for Arizona Shakespeare Festival.) Tucson Producer/Magician: Ross the Magician (Horwitz) is internationally recognized as an inventive designer and producer of magic Illusions. He was named as the prestigious Arizona Stage Magician of tbe year for 2016-2017 by the Society of Arnerican Magicians, a group forrnerly headed by Harry Houdini.
