DELTA AIR LINES SERVICE BEGINS TWICE DAILY SERVICE TO LOS ANGELES DECEMBER 17, 2007

Delta Air Lines introduces new nonstop service to Los Angeles on December 17th. This will bring the total number of flights offered by Delta to 10. The airline also offers two daily nonstop flights to Atlanta and six daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City.

“Delta’s new LAX service increases the total number of daily departures available from Tucson to 13,” said Bonnie Allin, President/CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority.

“Los Angeles is the most popular destination for Tucson travelers, and Delta’s two new flights adds convenience and choice for our customers. Additionally, it will enhance our customers’ Hawaii and international travel options through Los Angeles. We are delighted that Delta is expanding our service in this market.”

      Tucson Departure/Los Angeles Arrival Times:
      Tucson Departure at 7:00 a.m. – Los Angeles Arrival at 7:30 a.m.
      Tucson Departure at 3:55 p.m. – Los Angeles Arrival at 4:25 p.m.
      Los Angeles Departure/Tucson Arrival Times:
      Los Angeles Departure at 12:40 p.m. – Tucson Arrival at 3:26 p.m.
      Los Angeles Departure at 8:35 p.m. – Tucson Arrival at 11:21 p.m.

Delta Air Lines' service to Los Angeles is offered on 50 seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft operated by ExpressJet Airlines. Tickets may be purchased at delta.com or through other preferred providers, including travel agents, airtucson.com and most other online distributors.

Including the announced new service, Tucson International Airport is now served by 12 airlines offering 88 daily nonstop departures to 28 destinations. Nonstop service includes: Aerolitoral (Hermosillo); Alaska Airlines (Seattle); American Airlines (Chicago O’Hare, Dallas); Continental Airlines (Houston, Newark); Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City); ExpressJet Airlines (Austin, El Paso, Kansas City, L.A./Ontario, Omaha, Reno, Sacramento, Spokane); Frontier Airlines (Denver); JetBlue Airways (New York City/JFK); Northwest Airlines (Minneapolis/St. Paul); Southwest Airlines (Albuquerque, Chicago Midway, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego); United Air Lines (Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco); and US Airways (Las Vegas, Phoenix).

Sun Country Airlines recently announced seasonal twice weekly nonstop service to Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) December 16th – April 7th.
