Tucson: Tucson International Airport (TIA): NewsUNITED NONSTOP SERVICE TO WASHINGTON DULLES RESUMES FEBRUARY 14, 2008United Airlines and the Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced today that United will resume daily nonstop service from Tucson International Airport (TIA) to Washington D.C., Dulles International Airport on February 14, 2008. The seasonal flight is scheduled to continue through June 2, 2008. United also offers four daily departures to Denver, five to Los Angeles, and one to San Francisco. The service is timed to support business travelers and to connect to United’s bank of international* arrivals and departures from Washington-Dulles. Check TAA’s web portal, www.airtucson.com, for the latest information on fares and connecting service. The flight daily schedule is as follows: “We’re very pleased with the return of this service,” said TAA President & CEO Bonnie Allin. “Washington D.C. is a key destination for Tucson. The return of this seasonal route for Spring ’08 is evidence of the community’s strong support for it in Spring 2007”, she continued. “TAA is hopeful that this flight will exceed the strong performance of Spring 2007 and become a permanent part of our service offering at Tucson International Airport. As we’ve seen over the past two years, the more Tucson uses its airline services, the more TAA is able to obtain.” This is the only nonstop service to Washington D.C. from Tucson. The announcement today is the fourth announcement of new service by Tucson Airport Authority officials in recent weeks. By mid-February, Tucsonans will have a choice of 12 airlines** offering a total of 180 arrivals and departures daily to 29 cities. In addition to the new United service to Washington D.C., other new service includes: Southwest Airlines: begins daily nonstop service to OAKLAND, and a fourth daily nonstop flight to San Diego, November 4, 2007 Tucson Departure at 7:55 a.m. - Oakland Arrival at 9:20 a.m. Omaha Spokane Reno Delta Air Lines: introduces two daily nonstop departures to LOS ANGELES, December 17.
