AT&T provides iPhone users free access to 17,000 WiFi hotspots

AT&T is providing, free of charge, Wi-Fi access to more than 17,000 hotspots across the United States. Nearly half of the hotspots are located in Starbucks or other restaurants.
The network is aso available in select airports, hotels, universities, convention centers, sport complexes, bookstores, cafés and other locations. Other franchise chains that provide AT&T Wi-Fi wireless free include some participating McDonald's, Barnes & Noble, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
When in the range of an AT&T hotspot, access any webpage through the Safari web browser. This automatically triggers a "Get Connect Now" login page from AT&T. Input your mobile phone number and agrees to the terms before you get online access.
