retail outlet locations. Discovery's products and services are
available online in 210 countries, including Mexico, Canda, United
Kingdom (UK) and Japan. There are still several mall-based and stand-alone Discovery Store locations throughout the US.
All merchandise sold in Discovery Store
locations are available on the Discovery.com web site. EMOL.org receives

By eliminating the owned
and operated brick-and-mortar storefronts, which are cost-intensive and
complicated businesses, Discovery now focuses its efforts on
high-growth e-commerce and licensing operations, according to sources at
Discovery Communications.

Discovery to launch first 3D TV network in the U.S.
Discovery
Communications, Sony Corporation and IMAX Corporation announced a joint
venture to be established to develop the first 24/7 dedicated 3D
television network in the U.S. in 2011.
"Discovery's
business strategy has always focused on delivering groundbreaking
content through new platforms, including the first suite of digital
channels launched in 1996 and the first 24/7 basic cable HD channel in
