Starting May 23, 2008 readers of the country's leading travel and leisure magazines will be introduced to CheapTickets' newest budget-savvy travelers. Their stories offer inspiration -- and effective strategies -- for those looking to break away this season.

Best travel practices include:

-- Stop struggling to find the best deal to a specific place during the peak season. Instead, find the best deal you can, and get going: For Karen Huurman, this flexibility was the key to a warm-weather retreat
during New York City's winter chill. As a result, she and her family celebrated their savings in Key Largo, Florida exploring the area's coral reefs.

-- Consider accommodations with a kitchen to avoid dining out for every meal: This money-saving tactic allowed Carol Amerson of Southern California and her husband to enjoy their passion for eco-adventure,

Inspired by the enthusiasm and great travel tips received during its first challenge, CheapTickets.com has launched Share Your Cheap, an extension of the original contest inviting travelers to share their best vacation photo and money-saving travel strategy. Each month, CheapTickets.com will award one entrant with roundtrip airfare for two, for travel anywhere in the continental United States, and may feature the winner's photograph and travel tips on CheapTickets.com.
