Every night
while your body is asleep, your mind is making its way through a world
of imagery and activity. Most of the time, we don't realize it while
it's happening. This is called dreaming.

Those rare times
when we become awaken in the dream, we gain a brief insight into the
environment around us. The realization that we're in a dream becomes a
momentary, but profound experience. This is the astral world. Continuous
prolonged awareness is known as astral projection. Living inside your
dreams.
The twilight of
consciousness is the period in between falling asleep and being awake.
It is often during this phase that people report seeing imagery, sounds
and hallucinations.
How to achieve astral projection
Wake up
inside your dream! Go somewhere or think about doing something and see
how long that spark of awareness lasts until you drift back into the
control of the dream again. This brief lucid moment is an astral projection experience.
Become a lucid dreamer
Once you gain awareness of your dream surroundings, you are in a lucid dreaming state. This enables you to project your awareness into the dream.
Live inside your dreams
Every time you dream, you have the chance to become aware of your dream state and take control. This is living inside your dreams.
Control your dream as you fall asleep
As you
drift off to sleep at night, sometimes fragments of memories, short
daydreams of the day's activities, colorful patterns or even music drift
into the mind. This is the hypnagogic period when sleep sets in and dreams starting edging their way into your drowsy consciousness. Take control.
Ways to astral project
There
are many methods to gain astral projection mastery. Try several
different techniques to see which is most effective. Most people find it
easier to enter the astral plane as they fall asleep or suddenly
"awaken" inside of a dream.
- The first method is to keep your awareness while you are falling asleep and starting to dream- through hypnogogic imagery or during a meditation state.
- The second method is to gain awareness while having a dream- astral projection.
- Most
astral projections, or lucid dream experiences, occur in the moments
before you awake. If you can hold the awareness without waking up during
the hypnopompic period of sleep, you can stretch out the astral projection experience.
