The Spring Break Party of 2009 begins at Rocky Point, Mexico throughout March and April.
Since Rocky Point (known by the local residents as Puerto Peñasco),
is so close to the U.S./Mexico border, and right at the beach, this
quiet, tourist community fills with tens of thousands of college
students- mostly from Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona and Southern
California during spring break.
The photo above was taken during the Rocky Point Rally in November. Watch videos and pictures of the partying.

U.S. Travel Alert to Mexico
Millions of U.S. citizens safely visit
Mexico each year (including thousands who cross the land border every
day for study, tourism or business). But, violence in the country has
increased recently. So, the U.S. government has issued a Mexico travel
warning for 2009.
Travelers need to understand the risks of
travel to Mexico, how best to avoid dangerous situations, and whom to
contact if one becomes a crime victim.
Common-sense precautions such as visiting
only legitimate business and tourist areas during daylight hours, and
avoiding areas where prostitution and drug dealing might occur, can help
ensure that travel to Mexico is safe and enjoyable.
Rocky Point, though, has been relatively
safe from that violence. Mexican police presence along the highway to
Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) and visibility in the town has been
increased anyway.
