In each school I taught social studies classes (American History), set up a bookstore, and photography. In 2004, I retired and moved to Green Valley, AZ. At this time , I had to learn about digital photography through joining the Green Valley Camera Club and now am Director of Education. As for a influence in the area of photography, I would have to say my father. After graduating from Cornell University, he work for the TVA (TN Valley Authority) building roads, bridges and dams. I discovered several of his photographic albums in a trunk in the basement. While teaching, I was involved in taking sport/activity pictures for the school and work on several yearbooks. I have had the opportunity to travel and take pictures of western themes ie ghost towns, rodeos, etc. NEW:Sonoita Rodeo 2015Steampunk Convention 2015Tucson Rodeo 2015Sonoita Rodeo 2013Willcox Rodeo 2013Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, Photography CollectionTucson Meet YourselfRex Allen Days 2012 PhotosTucson Rodeo photographs by Carl Sparfeld |
