Zack Snyder's Visually Dazzling Epic is Number one in the UK
Warner Bros. Pictures International are proud to announce 300 the number one film at the UK box office. Inspired by the work of graphic novelist Frank Miller and co-written and directed by Zack Snyder, the epic adventure took over GBP4.7 million this weekend to be crowned king of the UK box office.
The ferocious retelling of the ancient battle of Thermopylae opened to over US$70 million in the US - breaking box office records for a March opening weekend and has grossed over US$160 million in the US to date. In addition to the UK, the 300 phenomenon completely dominated the international box office this weekend with powerhouse openings in many countries including Spain, Russia, France, Italy and Mexico.
300 opened in cinemas in UK and Ireland on Thursday 22nd March and stars an acclaimed British cast including Gerard Butler, Lena Heady, Vincent Regan and Dominic West.
