The 2009 Rocky Point Bike Rally resecheduled- the show goes on
Date set for November 5-8, 2009
The 2009 Rally, held for the past eight years in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, is scheduled to continue this year.
The annual event attracts thousands of fans to the sleepy coastal town also known as Rocky Point.
The Bike Rally had previously been cancelled according to a decision by the organizers, based in Phoenix, Arizona, on a "review of all logistical, contractual, economic and current state of affairs involved with the production of the 'Rocky Point' Rally,'" according to an announcement on the organizers website at rockypointrally.com.The Bike Rally is usually held the weekend before Veteran's Day.
The Rocky Point Bike Rally, also called el "Gran Fiesta de Motocicletas," ("The Grand Party of Motorcycles"), showcases a variety of two, three and four-wheeled vehicles with demonstrations, contents, parades and parties.
The bike rally is also an annual charitable event held in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Soñora, Mexico. Find out more about the local Mexican organizations supported through proceeds from the event.
As events are planned for that weekend, we'll post the information here.
