Tucson Teen newspaper was first published in Tucson, Arizona during the October 1981. Prior to that, it was published as Youth Awareness Press and Youth Alternatives Press since 1978. The Tucson teen newspaper was produced by a staff of young people. It was one of the nation's first newspapers for and by youth. The publication was the foundation for the Entertainment Magazine. Tucson Athletes Win National ChampionshipFountain Valley, CA - July, 2 2012 - Jesus Avila, 13, and a Tucson, Arizona, native wins his first United States Handball Association's 4 Wall Handball National title this past weekend. Avila, who took up the sport just a few years back at Freedom Park, where he was introduced to the game by WPH Development Director, Abraham Montijo and other coaches has a very hopeful handball career that could place him on a short list of up and coming talent gearing up for a potential professional handball career as a touring athlete. "Avila dominated the field at the most
coveted event in the nation," says WPH President, Fred Lewis. "We have
watched him grow up and I can see a very hopeful future for this amazing
young person." The United States Handball Association's 62 National
Handball Championships were held in Fountain Valley, CA, this past
weekend where nearly 400 competitors showed up to win a title. Tucson Student Represents AZ In National History ContestRead Wilder, an 8th grade student at St.
Michael's Parish Day school won the Middle School History Bee for the
state of Arizona in Tempe on February 24. He will be one of 32 middle
school students competing in the National History Bee on May 10-12 in
Washington, D.C. For the bee, the United States has been divided
into 32 regions and the state of Arizona constitutes its own region. The
National History Bee is sponsored by The History Channel which will
