December new holiday films to dazzle in 3D

December 3: Black Swan is the story of how a ballerina takes her dancing from brilliant to even better, which is not much of a journey by anyone's standards. Stars Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel.

December 3: Yogi Bear, a live-action/CG animated adventure in 3d from Warner Bros. Pictures.

December 3: I Love You Phillip Morris. Steven Russell is happily married to Debbie when a car accident provokes a dramatic reassessment of his life. Steven realizes he's gay and decides to live life to the fullest - even if it means breaking the law. Roadside Pictures. ated R.

December 4: I Am Comic has a huge cast of comics are interviewed in this ambitious documentary and although some of them are successful, the filmmaker never lets this interfere with the telling of his tale. (DVD release).

December 6, 2010: All Good Things. This film is based on the true story of the wealthy Robert Durst, whose wife mysteriously disappeared in New York City in the 1980s and whose body has never been found. 

December 10: Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. At the grand old age of 75, Joan Rivers is still working her butt off, still knocking them dead with her stand-up, and still utterly convinced that she has never truly succeeded at anything.

How Do You Know-  A Diamond Cut Rom Com, stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson. The girl in the love triangle will briefly accept and then return the expensive ring the wealthy boyfriend gives her so she can go off with the guy who is broke.  Actually, it turned out to be a diamond encrusted watch, not a ring, which is the biggest surprise of the entire film.

Little Rose - The Reluctant Spy. This is a true story about divided loyalties, misguided love and the betrayed becoming the betrayer.  It's all played out against a backdrop of escalating political unrest in communist Poland in the 1960s and makes for compelling viewing. 

CASINO JACK - The Washington Cowboy. This is a true story about a Washington lobbyist who swindles millions of dollars from native American casino owners.

The Tempest is Julie Taymor's version of ‘The Tempest.' The gender of Prospero has been switched to Prospera. Touchstone Pictures.
